In 2022, we purchased 8.8 acres of south facing farmland from the Dickey Family in Bingen, Washington (right across the Columbia River from Hood River, Oregon). In 2023 we completed the entitlement process and were issued building permits for 80 market rate units (one, two and three-bedroom) with many of the units being two story and having vaulted ceilings. The apartment homes will have over sized windows, vinyl floors, and higher than typical ceilings which impart unusual light and volume. The 8.8 acres were also broken up so that we created a 12 single family lot subdivision, which we will sell. The remaining property will most likely be developed into 48 additional market rate units sometime in the future as Phase II of this development.
